Illinois Independent Living Center (IILC) and Katharine Manor Apartments (KM) is a wheelchair accessible, barrier-free housing alternative to assistive living or a nursing home, because it is designed specifically for people who are physically disabled, mentally alert and able to live independently (see "PA Services Program" below). IILC/KM, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, offers people with long term mobility disabilities freedom to make their own decisions, for their own needs, in their own residences.
