Job Description:

Under general supervision and working as part of the Mobile Crisis Team (MCT), provides screening, crisis intervention and mobile crisis assessment services to adults who present a need of mental health services. The Police Response CIS staff member will primarily work with law enforcement officers in response to police calls that potentially involve a person who is mentally ill. The CIS will be mobile and able to outreach and provide services in the community where the incident is occurring. These services include providing individuals with information about community resources, assistance in referrals to community providers, suicide prevention and planning for safety, verbal de-escalation and crisis assessments. When necessary, the CIS is able to coordinate emergency psychiatric care through either the FrontLine Service clinic or St. Vincent Charity Psychiatric Emergency Department.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field, with a minimum of one year professionally supervised work in the delivery of mental health, chemical dependency and/or social services. LSW, LISW, PC or PCC required.Valid Ohio driver's license with good driving record and proof of insurance
