Job Description:

The Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging (BRIA) is a premiere, not-for-profit organization in Cleveland, Ohio, and a nationally and internationally recognized leading organization in the fields of aging research and services. BRIA invites applications for a Full time position as a Care Consultant and Assistant Master Trainer providing program support and responsible for marketing and delivering of service.

The selected candidate will commit 50% of time as a staff member in the Center for Research and Education, serving as an Assistant Master Trainer for BRI Care Consultation and its licensed delivery sites. The remaining 50% of time will be committed to our Elder Care Services Institute (ESI) as a staff member, who will serve as a Care Consultant marketing and delivering the BRI Care Consultation program, managing a caseload of up to 60 clients.

Areas of Responsibility:

Care Consultant

  • Complete all initial and ongoing training to develop a high level of proficiency with BRI Care Consultation.

  • Deliver BRI Care Consultation including following all requirements of the evidence-based program and delivery-protocol via telephone and computer to organizations and individuals that are clients of the program.

  • Maintain a good working knowledge of issues experienced by persons with chronic health conditions and their caregivers, and services and resources available to them in their communities.

  • Complete high quality and timely case documentation using the web-based Care Consultation Information System (CCIS).

  • Participates in continuing education to acquire professional knowledge, licensing (if applicable), and any other requirements to maintain competency.

Assistant Master Trainer

  • Conduct remote training and technical support to licensed BRI Care Consultation sites across the U.S.
  • Market licenses of BRI Care Consultation to potential organizational customers via webinars, in-person visits, and assistance with creating marketing materials.

  • Conduct program fidelity reviews for licensed sites and effectively communicate results and any recommended modifications in program delivery.

  • Refined existing and assist with development of new training materials and/or procedures.

  • Assist with development of program evaluation tools.

  • Assist with maintaining licensing agreements and invoices for licensed sites.


  • A bachelor's degree in social work, nursing, or other service-related field.

  • At least 1 year of experience working with persons with chronic health conditions (preferably older adults) and their family/friend caregivers.

  • Knowledge of community services and resources, and procedures for linking families to services and resources.

  • Familiarity and adherence to all ethical standards, laws, and regulations pertaining to confidentiality, personal health information, and adult mistreatment.

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and presentation skills.

  • Able to work independently on most clinical and administrative matters, while seeking consultation and supervisor as appropriate.

  • Excellent computer skills and experience with record management systems, Internet, and Microsoft Office.

  • Background Check and Drug Test required. EOE.
