JOB DESCRIPTION:

Support local, emerging fashion brands and re-shore
manufacturing sustainably and efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Member of, elected by and reports to the board of Trustees
Term of office: Two years; renewable for two consecutive terms
with the approval of the majority vote of the board
Volunteer leader of the organization
Presides at all meetings of the Board of Trustees and other
meetings as required in accordance with the organization's bylaws
and mission
Manages the development of the Board in order to help it work
more effectively and efficiently
Works with board officers to develop both immediate and
long-term goals and expectations for the foundation that supports
organizational priorities and governance concerns
Board service includes an expectation of monthly meetings,
give-get expectation, average of 4 service hours/per week to
support board initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior chair/officer experience in a multi-million-dollar
non-profit
Fundraising abilities including a multi-million-dollar capital
campaign to support future growth
Political, philanthropic, government and education
connections
Leadership industry experience in high-tech manufacturing and/or
fashion
